    Hi there,

    1. Margins where blank, i set them to 0 to be shore
    2. Laptop 1366×768, computer monitor 1920 x 1200, browser window not set to full screen
    3. Extensions/Plugins on FF: Firebug, Flash, Adobe, Google, Java
    4. BINGO ! the padding left/right is gone.
    I turned off the smooth scroll before the updates and it didn’t do it.

    The space bottom is still there.
    On http://o-zen.de/design/ please go to bottom. There i see the top of the image, under the image – this one is set to PARALAX.
    Most of the other pages have the backgrounds set to COVER – there it shows white space under the image.

    Checked yesterday from a friends computer, and it was the same, including lateral padding so it’s not only me.

    Have a nice day,
    B

    Hi Ben,

    let me clear things a bit:
    I allways wanted the scroll to be invisible, so i set it to
    Enable Smooth Scrolling = ON
    Enable Auto Hide = ON
    Hide Scroll background = ON
    problem was that the classic background of the scrollbar was visible in Firefox and Chrome.
    That somehow is now fixed after the updates and setting the rows to full stretched.

    But now with the rows set to Full Width stretched i get that white padding on every page not only on the slider.
    So my first problem spreaded out and now i’m kind’a desperate if you can’t see it too.

    What i tried out today:
    – deactivated W3 caching plugin
    – i remade most of the rows in all pages
    – uninstalled Firefox, deleted all mozila files on my computer, reinstalled (ver. 34.0.5)
    – commented out most of the CSS
    I use CTRL+F5 to refresh pages without caching.

    I-m out of ideeas. All the rows that i remade have a padding now, at the bottom too.
    As usual IE is different and doesn’t see the pading left and right, but this time it sees the padding at bottom.

    What can i do to help you help me ?

    The Full stretched doesn’t care about the width settings of the revolution slider anymore. Tried all settings in revolution and i get the same result.
    Just on that position and on that damn slider it won’t stretch enough.

    And yeah scroll bar is ok now, it’s how it was supposed to be: invisible.

    December 16, 2014 at 11:21 am #25399

    OK, so how should the row settings look like in this new pagebuilder ?
    Do i need to define any CSS class and style ?

    The row where the slider is inserted, is currently set to full width stretched. Slider set to full screen

    The background of the scroll bar was visible ONLY on the homepage and it was the classic styled background.
    After i set all the rows in HOME page to FULL WIDTH STRETCHED the scroll background is no longer visible !

    After last updates and modifications i also noticed my header on the homepage is shrinked and ignores the paddings set in header/main menu options.

    Greetings,
    B

    Hey Hannah,

    doesn’t work… the script is added via text widget in the footer. Maybe it can be added elsewhere ?

    Thank you,
    B.

    The pagebuilder changed completely and i can’t find the wide content anymore.
    I did try some option called full width stretched in the Layout tab of the row, no result.
    More now, setting FORCE FULL WIDTH in the slider makes no difference anymore.

    I did set the slider to RESPONSIVE now. This seems to cover the margins but now the background of the scroll bar popped out again.
    Maybe you can see it too and it is fixable ? Guess i need to modify some CSS that used to fix that ?

    Thank you for taking the time,
    B

    Hi Ben,

    no, the connection isn’t slow, it’s above the average in Germany. I can’t see the problem on IE either, so this is strange.
    The css didn’t help.

    Here is a good one:
    as i switched the 2 sliders for testing, it became clear that only on the bottom position i get that space and i learned that the top slider witch is set via theme slider, will show ok only if set to fullscreen and FORCE FULL WIDTH off. If i set FULL WIDTH to on i see the background of the scroll bar again.

    On tweakapix too its smooth scroll/hide/hide. I just fixed it by turning OFF the FORCE FULL WIDTH.

    Thank you,
    B.

    Hi there,

    o-zen.de is hosted on 1&1 and my connection is 16M so not really slow.

    I hitt EMPTY ALL CACHES on w3 cachinh plugin, i refreshed my browsers few times too, don’t know other methods.

    Here is what it looks like in Firefox and Chrome, both updated to latest version:

    here is my updated CSS, can some of the code sthat you and Hannah gave me conflict somehow ?

    /*.textwidget {
    opacity: 0.8;
    }
    */

    .rev_slider_wrapper.fullscreen-container {
    overflow-y: hidden !important;
    }

    #pageheader {
    display: none;
    }

    .home .contentclass {
    padding-top: 0;
    padding-bottom: 0;
    }

    .contentclass {
    padding-top: 0;
    }

    .kad_fullslider .kad_fullslider_arrow a {
    color:#dd3333; line-height: -50px;
    }

    .kad-header-style-three #nav-main ul.sf-menu > li > a {
    overflow: hidden;
    padding-top: 10px;
    }
    .kad-header-style-three .sf-menu li a i {
    font-size: 24px;
    display: block;
    position: absolute;
    margin-right: 0;
    width: 100%;
    text-align: center;
    left: 0;
    top: -15px;
    vertical-align: bottom;
    line-height: inherit;
    height: 100%;
    }

    @media (max-width: 1200px) {
    .kad-header-style-three #nav-main ul.sf-menu > li > a {
    padding-left: 10px;
    padding-right:10px;
    }
    }

    #topcontrol>div {
    z-index: 10000;
    }

    .page-header {
    display:none !important;
    }

    .tp-rightarrow.round {
    position: relative !important;
    }

    .panel-row-style-wide-grey {
        padding-bottom: 15px;
        padding-top: 15px;

    All this happens only to the bottom slider and the only difference is that the bottom one is placed via pagebuilder.

    … another strange thing: after your last CSS, only in Chrome, the “To the Top” arrow hides under the revolution slider.

    I started a new project at tweakapix.com and i’m starting with the same problem as i had with o-zen – the background of the scrollbar isn’t hiding. Now, what CSS should i try here, because i’m a bit confused by the many versions i tryed above ?!?

    If you think woodoo can help, i’ll stick some needels in my screen 😀

    Have a nice day,
    B.

    Hi again,

    i noticed only now:
    only on the revolution slider at bottom i have a small white vertical stripe left and right.
    Don’t think it is skroll-bar related because it is smaller.

    Curious:
    – Firefox – when i resize the window it disappears, comes again if i refresh the page
    – IE – doesn’t show the stripe but the background of the scroll-bar shows again sometimes when i scroll up and down the page
    – Chrome – identical to Firefox

    it seems all related to the Revolution slider, ‘cose the problems appear only on the slides. Tryed out all settings on the revolution positioning, full screen etc. How large should the images in the slide be ?

    Thank you,
    B.

    Hi Ben,

    testet and retested and cleared and tested again. The only one decent is IE, on Chrome and Firefox i have this scroll background and the huge white space under the footer. Crazy stuff i guess. I allways check logged out.

    i try all browser all the time and i refresh with CTRL+F5 to load the page without cache
    disabling the fancy scroll didn’t do anthing except for the style of the bar. It is still visible on top of
    everything on the homepage only.
    The space under the footer is also pretty nasty.
    how can i help you to help me?

    Thank you for taking the time,
    B.

    Hi Ben,

    perfect on all pages except homepage – the background of the scrollbar remains visible
    – here a pic:

    – when scrolling down, the header jumps at some point over the background of the scroll bar,… hope you see it too or i’ll make a video 🙂
    – black nice rounded scroll bar hides on all pages inclusive homepage how it should

    Cheers,
    B

    Hi,
    can you also see that white space under the footer or do i have some strange problem here ?
    And that navigation bar on the right is really nasty and pushing my header to the left as i scroll.

    Thanx,
    B.

    So option number two it will be.
    Does page builder with added gallery widget add to the load time/procesor load of a page ?
    Should one use just simple gallery inserting in the page ?

    Thank you,
    B

    I understand and so i did. I was hoping to have all the thumbs of all fotos on the grid page not just 1 featured image of each category.

    Another approach: i don’t mind inputting image by image as portfolio items. In this scenario the portfolio grid page looks great and is organized/filtered. Problem is that when clicking on a thumbnail it goes to the page of the portfolio item. Can we somehow make it show like a gallery item and continue viewing the pictures in that category?

    November 26, 2014 at 12:39 pm #23615

    Hey Ben,
    you are saying to insert a gallery in the portfolio item, but then on the Portfolio grid page i can’t see the pictures in the gallery, only the featured image that is set to the portfolio item, or is there a way arround it ? Made some example here: http://o-zen.de/portfolio/

    I also didn’t find what “Image List” and “Image List style 2” in the Project Options of the Portfolio does.

    Thank you,
    B

    Hey, here is another small issue…
    When i reload a page (except home) a white space is under the header.
    It disapeares as i scroll down and doesn’t show again, but ruins a bit of the first impression

    Thank you,
    B
